Just what is the genetic evidence telling us?
The evidence from genetics has long suggested something very strange in the evidence line of the human genome. Almost everyone with any interest in the area will be fully aware of the story but no one, apparently, sees anything odd about it, accepting a mix of religion and myth, entirely without question. My brain works differently; I see a mystery and I want answers.
According to genetics, our species, Homo sapiens sapiens, has evolved from the quintessential Adam, (from who knows where) c70,000BCE, but the quintessential Eve, not only comes from much earlier (~120,000BCE) but also from numerous points around our planet that represent at least a dozen racial subspecies. Beyond basic Homo sapiens, we all accept as basically human, Neanderthals, Homo erectus, Denisovians, Hiedelbergensis, Ardipiticus, Australopithecus (robustus and gracile), Floresiensis, Java Man, Peking Man and many more.
Trouble is, around 70,000 years ago, an apparent extinction event killed off all but an estimated 100-2000 humans and every one of us alive today, are supposedly descended from the very few that survived.
Has Human Evolution gone Backwards?
There are problems with all the projected scenarios I’ve heard so far, of a massive volcanic eruption, the biblical Great flood, or even Ghenis Khan on steroids and maybe I’ll go through them all in due course.
I’ll also offer what I believe to be a more rational explanation when I get around to it.
In the meantime think ‘artificial insemination’, the ‘creation myth’, the ‘the Garden of Eden’; how an alien, who couldn’t survive on Earth without a spacesuit, might colonise our planet for all its gold and other valuable resources. He could do so by the proxy introduction of a specially-prepared ‘super human’, prepared beforehand, like an Adam and Eve, and bred up from a select group of far less able mortals.
This super-hominid, homo sapiens sapiens, wouldn’t need a spacesuit, and could even spread a virtual plague that essentially saw any rivals die out within a few generations. Job done.
If you think this impossible --- I suggest you think again --- what we, as a species, might be capable of if we crossed space and found a planet, rich in all the scarce minerals we had run out of at home?
