At some time in their lives, everyone has seen videos of a child’s vortex cannon, fired horizontally, blow over a stack of paper cups or, better still, as in this video, a 6m-long hail gun, blowing down a brick wall at 50 paces.

However, whilst these videos give some idea of the potential power of this type of phenomena, they largely ignore two extremely significant caveats, both of which are of almost unimaginable significance in the longer term. 

For maximum power, the presence of some water vapour in the atmosphere is essential and, for maximum endurance, potentially for days or even longer, the vortex's axis of orientation must be held perfectly horizontal, not vertical, as seen in these videoes.

Whilst held perfectly horizontal, ring vortexes are inherently stable and have incredible, almost unbelievable potential but all non-horizontal vortexes are inherently unstable and will very soon break up into two counter rotating tornados that rapidly disperse.

Imagine now, a vortex generator 100m-150m high, firing a horizontal and basically stable vortex ring, either vertically upwards or downwards, and you have the basic elements of a technology developed in the "twin" Great Pyramids at Giza (c2500BCE) and the Pharos Lighthouse, at Alexandria  (c300BCE), the details of which can now be proven beyond all reasonable doubt.

Control its ultimate size, power and vapour content, a vortex gun, when fired vertically upwards, can potentially trigger a normal rain storm, or power the largest commercial aircraft to the borders of space. All depending upon how it was used, it could also, potentially, bring an enemy aircraft down, or ultimately, control the extent and severity of the winter weather of a whole global Hemisphere.

Furthermore, at least theoreticly, should such a cannon be fired downwards, over the open ocean, it could trigger a cyclone or, (if produced over a closely assocciated, horizontal flat surface, or so-called "ground plane barrier" (GPB)), power an appropriately designed, MACE aircraft, an inherently sustainable, safe, VTOL machine with potential safety, range and performance capabilities so far in advance of any aircraft yet developed, they will totally revolutionise all forms of transport beyond the humble bicycle.

Massively amplified, the basic phenomena, of horizontal ring vortexes, in their "normal" and/or "inverted" forms are the basic elements of what I now call the MACE Technology, as recovered over the last 10 years, by reverse engineering, first the Pharos Lighthouse, at Alexandria, and then the Great Pyramids at Giza.
